Nick Hughes serves as the Senior Pastor of Mountain Chapel Methodist Church in Vestavia Hills, Alabama. He has spent nearly two decades in pastoral ministry and is passionate about helping people know Jesus Christ, grow in their faith, and discover God’s purpose for their lives.

Nick holds a Bachelor of Arts in Biblical Studies from Blue Mountain College and a Master of Divinity from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. He is also completing a Doctor of Ministry degree through Anderson University. His preaching is rooted in the authority of Scripture and seeks to be biblical, relevant, and practical for everyday life.

Nick is married to Rebecca, and together they have a daughter, Mary Beth. As a pastor, he is especially passionate about evangelism, discipleship, church revitalization, and helping congregations develop a culture that reaches people with the love of Jesus Christ.

When he’s not serving the church, Nick enjoys spending time with his family, fishing, hunting, smoking barbecue, cheering for his favorite sports teams, traveling, and finding any excuse to be outdoors.
