“Who will roll the stone away from the entrance of the tomb?” (Mark 16:3)
Every Easter season reminds us that life often presents us with stones that seem too heavy to move. They may be stones of grief, uncertainty, disappointment, or unanswered prayers.
Like the women who walked toward Jesus’ tomb that first Easter morning, we sometimes move forward with faith while quietly wondering how the obstacles in front of us will ever be removed. Their question was simple and honest:
“Who will roll the stone away?”
It was the question of people who loved Jesus but could not yet see how God would work.
Yet something remarkable happened when they arrived. The stone they feared had already been rolled away. Before they could solve the problem, God had already acted.
What they expected to be the end of hope became the beginning of the greatest news the world has ever heard:
Christ is risen.
Their worry about the stone was real, but it was no match for the power of God.
How often is the same true in our lives? We spend so much time worrying about stones that God is already preparing to move. The resurrection reminds us that the God who conquered death is still at work in our lives today.
The obstacles that seem impossible to us are never impossible for Him.
As we walk through this Easter season, remember that the same power that rolled away the stone from Jesus’ tomb is still at work in the world—and in your life.
So, keep walking forward in faith, even when questions remain.
God is already ahead of you, and the stone you fear may already be rolled away.
